Let's Leave Kanye Out of this...

By now, much of us know about Kanye's outburst at the VMA's. But in case you're living under a pop culture rock (which I do most of the time), the gist is: Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech to say, "Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."

Wow, Kanye, how rude. Joe Wilson, anyone?

But what I am more interested in writing about is how AWESOME Beyonce was for ceding her acceptance speech to Taylor: "I remember being 17 years old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny's Child, and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment."

I find Beyonce and Taylor's interaction far more newsworthy than Kanye. A true demonstration that female solidarity is alive and strong. Let's Put Our Hands Up!
