Who says young people aren't engaged in current affairs?
Ten-year-old Will Phillips of Arkansas is sitting down and speaking out on LGBT rights. Will has not risen to recite the pledge of allegiance in class for several weeks in order to demonstrate solidarity with the LGBTQIQ community, who of course do not share the same liberties and justice afforded to heterosexuals by law. Predictably, Will is being harassed and gay-baited in school, but his parents and friends remain supportive.
Will also speaks eloquently on the importance of activism and social justice:
