When you work in the global reproductive health and rights movement, it can be frustrating having to constantly explain how the life of a woman, especially her health, is linked to the progress and prosperity of her family, her community, and her country.
The following video by the White Ribbon Alliance, gives us an overview of the most critical maternal mortality statistics, but most importantly it reminds us that these deaths are preventable. Investing in women's health holds the answers to many of the greatest predicaments we face in the field of development today.
