Amid the chaos surrounding health care reform, feminists can take some comfort in Friday's defeat of the Pence Amendment. A press release from Planned Parenthood explains the importance of this victory: "The amendment, if passed, would have denied family planning services to millions of women, men and teens by restricting Title X federal family planning funds from going to Planned Parenthood affiliate health centers."A comfortable majority, 247-183, rejected this threat to women's health. Help keep this pro-woman momentum going by joining FMF interns tomorrow in a counter-protest to Operation Rescue's demonstration!
